Solar Rush
Solar Rush is a small 2D arcade-style platformer built in Godot and developed during the Moray Game Jam which ran from 7th - 9th of March 2025.
The theme of the jam was 'when the planets align... anything can happen.'
My interpretation of this theme was a solar flare being the result of a planetary alignment. The aim of this game is to navigate your way down through your building until you reach the basement and the bunker there. There will be numerous obstacles in your way down the floors. Can you make it to the basement bunker and survive the solar flare?

Known Bugs
- Despite the menus saying 'Press A to Start', that instruction is for Xbox controllers. Pressing the Interact button will navigate these screens (see controls section above)
- Repeatedly punching boxes will cause the animation to replay.
- Sometimes pressing Interact will open the trapdoors all the time. This should only be possible when the character is stood next to the green button.
Future Updates
I do plan to polish this game off, improving some functionality and the artwork. The original game jam entry will remain playable (or maybe downloadable) but a more polished version will be released eventually.
