Apotheosis

Apotheosis is an original story based in Greek Mythology.

In this game, you take on the role of the protagonist. Today, you will perform heroic feats (in true greek style most of these involve slaying monsters). By the end of the game, the villagers will come to revere you as a deity. In their eyes, you will be a god.

Arrow Keys/Left Stick - Move/Navigate Menus

Game Jam

This game was created over a 48 hour period for the Moray Game Jam 2023. The theme for the Moray Game Jam was 'the first line of a novel'.

The line I chose was 'Today he woud become a god.' This is from the novel Black Sun, by Rebecca Roanhorse.

This game is a small, linear RPG, with a run time between 45 minutes to an hour.

Future Plans

After the conclusion of the jam, I plan to make a few quality of life improvements to this game, along with any bug fixes and tweaks to the story, maps etc. The original version of the game will remain both downloadable and HTML based. The updated version will be downloadable only
